School Holiday workshops

The Writing Workshop's school holiday creative writing courses take place as part of the Kids in the Park program at Sydney Olympic Park. Courses run over three days, at two hours per day. The courses are suitable for children from 6 years up (one group from 6-9 years, the other from 10-14). The next dates are 23-25 January 2008. After-School workshops

What we do in our after-school children's creative writing workshops

• Small group writing workshops from Kindergarten to Year 12 mean more one-on-one attention, real rapport and group spirit, and great writing;
• Write a new piece every week, and build skills throughout the term;
• Weekly writing exercises, sometimes funny, sometimes serious;
• Gain the skills and confidence to perform out loud;
• Finished work published in the Cape Writing section of this website;
• Achievement certificate at the end of each term, and awards for two or more programs.

In Term 1, 2008, after-school programs will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a maximum of 10 per group.

Sessions for primary school aged children are for 55 minutes, except for Year 1 group, which are 40 minutes.
